Dear customer,

 This letter is to inform you of an important safety recall on a steel-toe work shoe sold by Lehigh Outfitters (a Rocky Brands subsidiary).  Our records show that some of your employees may have purchased this shoe, either directly from us or through your company.  Testing has revealed that the shoes could fail to protect the wearer’s feet if compressed.

 The recalled shoe was sold under the Georgia Boot brand name and bears Product Number G9075.  Date codes between 01-12 and 10-13 are included in the recall.  The product number, date code, and the Georgia Boot logo are printed on a label inside the shoe’s tongue.  The shoes have a six-inch ankle height and were sold in brown-colored leather.  Photographs of the shoe and the label are provided below to assist you in identifying the product.

 No injuries have been reported in connection with this shoe.  However, you should direct your employees to stop wearing the shoes immediately and return them to Lehigh Outfitters for a free replacement pair of shoes in a similar style.  Please also post this letter in a conspicuous place for your employees to see.
