PRESENTS: “NEW HIRE ORIENTION”

ATTENTION ALL NEW UNION MEMBERS HIRED THE LAST THREE (3) YEARS, WITH A HIRE DATE OF 2014 FORWARD.

It has been decades since our Local Union has initiated a “New Member Orientation” as matter of education and congratulating you all as New Union Members into the UAW.

The entire Bargaining Committee has the opportunity to meet and greet with you in your first week as a new hire but we all know after a solid week of training and Alcoa rules crammed into a short span can be overwhelming and the limited information we can provide can be expanded.

We would like to take this opportunity to bring some educational items about unions and specifically the UAW as it relates to all of the opportunities and resources that are offered to you as being UAW Local 1050 Members.

The date for this gathering will be on January 27, 2016. We will attempt to offer three (3) different times to accommodate work shifts as a before or after shift meeting.

The first meeting will be at 7:15AM until 9:15AM to accommodate third shift members. The second will be from 11:45AM until 1:45PM to accommodate 2^nd shift members and the final meeting will be from 3:15PM until 5:15PM to accommodate those on 1^st shift.

We will be offering refreshments, snacks and raffles.
